
Forgive the picture, but I wanted to show one of the items I will be making a lot during my Insanity round. As many of you know - I was running around a lot and needed something quick for a snack that wasn’t too much trouble. I looked around and found some protein bar recipes, easy enough. After a little modification BOOM! awesome-ness in a pan. Just keep them cool, and you’re good to go. I hope you enjoy it.
Home-made protein bars
This is a pretty normal out the door week day breakfast: a homemade protein bar and a glass of milk (if you’re really good add some fruit). I love these protein bars (they taste like no-bake cookies!!):
Melt honey and peanut butter together in microwave, mix in dry ingredients, press into an ungreased square pan. Chill for 1 hour. Cut into 9 bars.
200 cal. / 11g fiber / 20g protein
